We want to make the art of Burning Man spectacular again and we are stepping forward to do the work to make it happen. We are recommiting ourselves to the creation of mind-blowing, I-can't-believe-someone-actually-made-that, KNOCK YOU ON YOUR ASS ART in all forms, mediums, shapes and sizes for the playa this year. Towards this end, our plan is to run an "art event within the event" at Burning Man 2005, using the MASSIVELY COLLABORATIVE and RADICALLY DEMOCRATIC methods laid out in the We Have a Dream Petition. |

We
also come together to reaffirm the primacy of ART as our core vehicle
towards COMMUNITY at Burning Man. What we had before, and what we want
to move forward with again, are the deep and meaningful ties formed in
the crucible of WILDLY COLLABORATIVE ART-MAKING, in the harshest of conditions,
challenged constantly by our inexperience, inability and lack of resources,
but ultimately realized by the people that join together to make it happen
anyway.
We invite EVERYONE to join us for this reaffirmation of the soul and sacred center of Burning Man. We welcome bitter old farts long since departed, newbies who just arrived, angry machine artists, rednecks, ravers, punks, hippies, yahoos, snooty art school trustafarians, diesel mechanics, and disgruntled youth of all types to join us. We will exclude no person who wants to do the work. But we will actively exclude the vapid ideas of insta-community, mindless partying and other bad bullshit that has so soiled this grand experiment in ART-BASED community. We
